Product Information

Engine Oil Level Sensor is a vital monitoring component mounted directly in the oil sump. It continuously measures the volume and temperature of the engine oil, alerting the driver via the dashboard if the oil level drops below a safe threshold. Maintaining the correct oil level is essential to prevent catastrophic engine damage caused by oil starvation. This premium HELLA sensor features a highly durable GRP (Glass fibre Reinforced Plastic) synthetic housing designed to withstand extreme engine temperatures and vibrations. It serves as a direct OE replacement for specific Jaguar and Volvo models .

Symptoms of a faulty Oil Level Sensor:

"Low Oil Level" warning light illuminates on the dashboard, even when the dipstick shows the oil is full ,
No warning light triggers when the oil level is dangerously low ,
Inaccurate or fluctuating oil temperature readings (if the sensor includes temp monitoring) ,
Visible oil leaks from the bottom of the oil pan around the sensor mounting point .

⚠ Diagnostic & Installation Tip ⚠

Before replacing this sensor:

The engine oil must be fully drained before removing the sensor from the oil sump.
Thoroughly clean the mating surface on the oil pan. Ensure the old seal is completely removed before installing the new one .
Tighten the 3 mounting bolts evenly to the manufacturer's specified torque to avoid cracking the GRP synthetic housing.
Important: After installation, observe the correct system fill quantity when refilling the engine oil . Check the D-Shape 3-pin connector for oil contamination before reconnecting.
