Before replacing the intake manifold pressure (MAP) sensor:

  • Carefully inspect all vacuum hoses and connections related to the LPG system for leaks. A vacuum leak allows unmetered air into the manifold, altering the internal pressure and frequently triggering false MAP sensor fault codes.
  • Ensure the electrical connector and wiring harness are free from corrosion or damage. A poor electrical connection will distort the signal sent to the ECU.
  • Ensure the 4 ports are free of any debris or oily residue before installation to guarantee accurate pressure and temperature readings.
