Before replacing the oxygen sensor:

• Check the exhaust system for leaks upstream of the sensor. Exhaust leaks can draw in outside air, skewing the sensor's readings and triggering false lean mixture codes .
• This NTK oxygen sensor comes with threads pre-coated with anti-seize compound. Do not apply additional anti-seize, and ensure it never touches the sensor tip or slots, as this will permanently ruin the delicate wideband element .
• Always route the 900 mm sensor cable carefully, keeping it away from extreme heat sources like the exhaust manifold to prevent melting and short circuits .
