Always strictly depressurize the fuel system before removing the old injector. Fuel systems remain under pressure even when the engine is off .
Lightly lubricate the new injector O-rings with clean engine oil prior to installation. Installing dry O-rings can cause them to tear, resulting in dangerous fuel leaks or vacuum leaks .
Ensure the electrical connector is clean and securely fastened. A poor electrical connection will prevent the injector from opening, mimicking a clogged or failed unit .
